Rama: Vote the revival

Rama declared that the government has left Mirdita and the rest of Albania in extreme poverty, full of debts.

“This is why we solemnly promise to reduce taxes for 95% of the Albanians. This is why we promise to facilitate the tax burden for all self-employed Albanians, by removing the small business tax and by halving VAT within the first 100 days. We will remove the tax of medicine and basic food. We refuse the situation of today, when the Albanians pay 20% tax for every kilogram of bread, and every glass of milk they give to the children. We will zero these taxes and will reduce the electricity tax to 6%. Our principle is simple. Who earns more will pay more, and who earns less will pay less taxes”, Rama declared.

Rama answered to the accusations of the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, who has attacked the progressive tax system that was proposed by the Socialist Party, and defended the flat tax, calling it the best one for Albania.

“The anti-bullet grandfather is telling the Albanians that his flat tax is the tax of God. So, the poverty among Albanians is coming from God. Unemployment is coming from God. The high taxes are coming from God and God’s messenger on earth has the duty to lie at the Albanians from morning to evening? Have you heard him when he says to abandon our honest taxation, because they will give you cash for oil and for the floods? Is there any Albanian that still believes that Berisha gives cash?”, Rama declared.

The Socialist Party leader commented Berisha’s promise that all farmers will receive the property titles within the first year. Rama raised the question why these certifications were not given for eight years?

Rama declared that the June 23rd elections vote is not a selection between parties or a selection between names, who of them will become Prime Minister. According to Rama, the June 23rd elections are to chose between the ruin and the revival.

Rama concluded his speech by appealing to vote no.29 and to have a massive participation in the elections.

“No.29 removes fear and corruption, and brings a government that will fight crime by liberating the Albanians. The choice is very clear. Who wants to keep this long power and keep plunging into ruins, let him vote for Berisha. Who wants a new government that will stand by them for their problems, there is only one address, no.29 of the Socialist Party. On the June 23rd elections you must do everything that you can and do not go alone on the voting centers, but take with you those who have never voted. Convince them that vote is an investment for their future, for the future of our children and of our country”, Rama concluded his speech.
