The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, visited Montenegro and the Ulqin
Municipality, Nazif Cungu, together with the leaders of five Albanian
Parties in Montenegro and the Ulqin MP, Genc Nimanbegu.

The topic of the discussion was the improvement of the Albanians’ lives, wherever they live. Rama proposed a joint initiative for establishing an Albanian university in Montenegro, in order to create high education for the Albanian youth.

“It was a special pleasure for me and the entire Ulqin Municipality and representatives of political parties, to have among us the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, and his parliamentary group. We have exchanged our thoughts and discussed about the many problems and cooperation issues”, declared Nazif Cungu, Mayor of Ulqin.

“I want to thank my friends for their fraternal welcome, and for giving us an opportunity to have an open discussion about our common concerns, starting from the development of this commune and to the life quality of the Albanians in Montenegro and wherever they live, because there is still much to do on this direction”, Rama declared.

Rama promoted his book at the Tuzi Highland, and by referring to the visit in Presheva, he reiterated the propositions for an Albanian Rebirth, a program that includes scholarships for the Albanian young students in the region, the unification of school texts and joint tourist services, which are a real development possibility.

“Those who are involved in politics and public life, must not forget that they will be accountable for what they have left behind and for what they pass to the new generations. I believe that we have all opportunities today to leave a better land to the next generations”, Rama declared.
