The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, invited the opposition to vote this Monday for the justice reform.
“Come to vote this Monday for the justice reform, so that you don’t get ashamed at least for this. It is very important for the progress of our country and for our EU integration”, Rama said.
He says the meetings of the EU and USA ambassadors with the parliamentary groups are very important, as the justice reform is a joint project.
“The justice reform is a joint project and Albania makes no exception from the other countries that joined the EU. I don’t know if Ambassadors have held similar meetings in other countries too, but if it happens here, it happens only for a meeting with your parliamentary group. If they come for us and the SMI, they are welcome. Our coalition has been very clear. We were ready even yesterday to vote the Constitutional package. You were not ready”, Rama said.
Rama added that the EU and US representatives will meet with every Parliamentary group, and will meet with the DP, which is not ready to vote the reform, according to Rama.
The Prime Minister said that the opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, is using the program of the former Berisha government.
Brace and Berisha, another clash in Parliament
After their 10-day ban in Parliament was over, Erjon Brace and Sali Berisha clashed once again this Thursday, to the point that the session was interrupted for a few minutes.
The Democratic Party MP, Edi Paloka, asked the Parliament’s Bureau to take measures against Brace for violating the regulation. Brace answered on social network, saying that he did nothing wrong, he only asked Berisha why he was pleading the businessman accusing him to not file a lawsuit against him.
Brace adds that this took place after the banal slander that former Prime Minister Berisha throws against everyone.
Berisha to Rama: “You don’t know what development is. All you know is doodles”
The former Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, replied to the declaration of PM Rama.
“Rama speaks about his doodles and nothing else. Doodles that nobody looks at. You spoke about development, but you don’t know what development is or where is it based”, Berisha said.
Rejecting the accusations of his predecessor, Berisha underlined that after 2005, Albania entered the list of countries with averagely high salaries and the World Bank removed the soft loans.
“Our American friends predicted 100 million USD of investments and we did everything possible to get these funds, but we lost because we entered the list of countries with average-high salaries and the US law didn’t allow it”, Berisha said.
The former Prime Minister focused on the debate about the roads. He mentioned the ones built when he was in power, and what the Rama government is not doing.
