The Albanian PM, Edi Rama, answered to the accusations of the Democratic
Party, especially those launched by their former leader, Sali Berisha.
Rama accused him of blocking the vetting law, because they fear it.
“You quote us Lulzim Basha, as if we respect the administrator you hired for your company. Your only nightmare today is the vetting law, that’s why you are using Basha as a kamikaze”, Rama said,
The government leader answered to the accusations of the opposition, who said that the government will not open the former communist Secret Service files. According to Rama, it was Berisha who left this matter behind, due to his past as a member of the communist party.
“You promised to build monuments that would help not forget the dictatorship. You did nothing. I don’t understand how the former political prisoners trusted you, a former secretary of the communist party”, Rama said.
“The current government is taking the opening of Secret Service files very seriously. What we are doing will be shown in Europe’s most visited museums, so people learn what dictatorship was like in Albania”, Rama added.
Rama commented the discussion created by the donation of several vehicles form Japan: “We haven’t bought any car. It was a donation from the Japanese government which promotes its cars”, Rama said.
