The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, reacted on Facebook to the declarations of the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha,
Rama said that the Russian funding story of the Democratic Party will be fully revealed.
Rama said that it is clear that this is a corruptive case of dark funds, with serious violations of the law.
However, Rama says it is surprising that there are generous Russians who find money for an Albanian party. “This is what makes it more scandalous, politically and legally”, Rama says.
Rama said that there will be investigations if there are malicious interferences from foreign forces, planning to use the Albanian opposition for damaging Albania’s image, with the purpose to stop the EU integration process and destabilization of the country.
“This is unacceptable. Albania cannot be withheld by anyone. Albanians, regardless of their political affiliations, do not deserve this irresponsible political, legal and national mishmash”, Rama writes.
