Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future For having a clearer idea about the problematic that the Albanian
farmers meet each day, the opposition leader, Edi Rama, visited a farm
in Kashar, which is one of the biggest in the country.
The opposition leader declared that the next Socialist government will give a support to farmers and whoever works in agriculture production that they haven’t had in the last 20 years. Rama also promised some commitments.
“If the oil price for agriculture will not decrease, we will remove the excise tax. If VAT will not be removed for agricultural inputs, such as fertilizers, seeds and if the private initiative will not be strongly supported in the entire village sector by supporting people with talent and courage as you, and by not considering those who live in the countryside as self-employed, there is no chance that the Albanian farmers will leave the backwardness caused by the state’s abandonment”, Rama declared.
In the program for “National Rebirth”, the Socialist Party has dedicated a special section to Agriculture, to which many other propositions are expected to be added for the Albanian farmers.
