The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, will be the first leader of the
region who will be received this Thursday in Brussels by the President
of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, since his appointing on
top of this institution; while he is listed second for the Head of the
EU Council, Donald Tusk, who met with the Macedonian Prime Minister on
December.

On this official visit, the Chief of the Albanian Government will be accompanied by Ministers Ditmir Bushati and Klajda Gjosha. The European side will be received by the same number of representatives on this table.

Although there are voices that in the first meeting with President Juncker there might be the highest representative of the EU, Federica Mogherini, her office has not confirmed anything similar, since her agenda has not foreseen any mission outside of Brussels yet.

Commissioner Johannes Hahn will not be present, due to the programmed visits for this week in Macedonia and Kosovo.

The meetings of this Thursday are expected to be about the political and economic developments in our country, for the progress of the five key priorities, the situation in the region, the issues related to the EU safety, including the measures against terrorism.
