The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, explained the invitation he sent
to the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, for having the opposition
in the Commission for the Territorial Administrative Reform. Rama
declared that this reform should end within this Parliamentary session.

“When we were in opposition, we have never been invited by the Prime Minister to sit and discuss, although there were many things to discuss and resolve. We asked a meeting for reforms we since the beginning, but there was no answer”, Rama declared.

“The administrative territorial reform is basic for the Albanian government. We want to come together for this reform. We have granted full equality to the opposition, because we want a consensual product. The work for supporting the reform commission has started throughout the territory and we cannot wait any longer. This invitation to the opposition is our last effort, and this is related to the deadlines. The reform must end within this parliamentary session”, the Prime Minister explained.

This session continued with debates and offenses between both parties. The opposition Parliament Members expressed their concern for the lack of ethics in the Parliament.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that the Parliament ethics is violated every time that Berisha starts speaking. Rama called him “the opposition’s elder chief”.

“Your behavior is a remnant of communism. You keep trying to attack the opponents through their private life. We are not like you and we must not behave like you”, Rama declared.

However, Rama declared that the opposition Parliament Members will not be bothered anymore in the podium, and he admitted he violated ethics in the past week.

Rama expressed the government’s satisfaction for the legalization process, emphasizing that the project was approved by the government, and now legalizations will be realized for free.

The former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared that his main concern is the agreement that according to him, the government has made with the International Monetary Fund. That will bring higher taxes and higher prices.

“That agreement is not a deed of the International Monetary Fund. The IMF wants negotiators and that agreement is fruit of the total ignorance, fraud and the irresponsibility of this government”, Berisha declared.

The Minister of Innovation, Milena Harito, accused the government of having hired only relatives in the public administration, and that’s why they are concerned now.

“All of your relatives worked in ministries. The state pays for your cousins and families. Are you concerned about the Democratic Party voters or about your relatives?”, Harito declared.

The former Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared that Harito should not speak about this issue, since she has three relatives in the government.

“You’re the last one to speak about nepotism. Your language explains the hate you have against the administration employees”, Berisha declared.
