The opposition leader, Edi Rama, raised the alarm that our future is
endangered if children are brought up in a disoriented and violent
environment.

During the meeting about violence against children, organized by the Socialist Party, Rama declared that more dangerous that poverty today, is the poverty of aspirations for the new generation. The Albanian society is experiencing shocking moments with the children”, he said, promising a series of emergency measures that the Albanian government will take after June 23rd. Rama promised legal amends to consider it a penal act when teachers use students to become part of electoral campaigns.

“Everyone who will be responsible to educate our children will not have to pass the loyalty test to the party, but a test based on professional criteria and that are administered not only by experts, but also by parents. If we want to save the Albanian children, we must transform the school into a community centre”, the SP leader declared.

Rama added that to help children you need to help parents. Parents should understand that for the future of their children, they cannot be treated only as electors. “The party affiliations must end, in order to make a good governing”, Rama declared, appealing parents to understand this.
