Rama: Solution for legalizations

The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, criticized the management of the
legalization process by the government, a promise they have given since
2005.
“This issue should have been over by now. DP promised to make legalizations since 2005. When in power, they found 250.000 illegal construction, while today they are leaving 400.000 behind”, Rama declared by also suggesting a solution for the informal areas.
“The informal areas must turn into urban communities with everything they need. Illegal constructions need to turn into capitalization assets”, Rama stated.
He valued that the legalization process is in danger, and is being intentionally delayed by the government for personal interests.
“The legalization process has turned into a robbery. There are 18.000 legalization permits, which are only a few compared to the total. With this pace, Berisha’s legalization process ends after 160 years”, Rama declared.
Reminding that the SP has proposed the first legalization project since 2002, the opposition leader introduced his solution for this issue.
“Today we have only 60% of the total properties registered. We will integrate the legalization process with the property registration process. We will legalize the constructions in private and state properties”, Rama declared.
