The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, started political consults from Fier, regarding the Budget 2018.
Rama said that it is not true that there will be an increase of small business taxes.
“We will ask small businesses to become part of the fight against informality. All subjects, small businesses as well, will be part of the VAT. It is not true that there will be higher taxes for small businesses. We just zeroed those taxes and they will remain zero. We will include the VAT regime, but it doesn’t mean there will be a tax increase. Every small business will behave in a structured manner”, Rama said.
During his speech Rama said that he will make possible for the citizens’ taxes to be used based on the priorities they have, and that the online platform for co-governing will be made public in the days to come.
Rama mentioned the matter of corruption at the administration, saying that the country is on a crossroad as regards fight against corruption in all instances. “We will continue the process for easing bureaucracies”, he added.
