After a long closure by the coronavirus, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that taxi services will resume operations.
Through live communication on “Facebook”, the Prime Minister stressed that from next week will be allowed taxi services only within the cities, not intercity service, and only with one person inside the vehicle, except the driver.
Rama added that the “war pay”, which was given to taxi drivers, will not be taken away despite the fact that they are returning to work.
“From next week, taxis will resume work, with no more than one passenger in the vehicle. Taxis, whether they’re part of other businesses that have been opened or opening next week, contain a large number of employees who have benefited from the ‘war wage’. What is given will not be taken. Even though the taxis have taken a part, this not be taken back, despite the fact that the work starts “, declared the Prime Minister Rama.
