During his today’s speech in Shijak to citizens affected by the earthquake, Prime Minister Edi Rama condemned a video released earlier by the Democratic Party, which among other things stated that the government measures against the new coronavirus are only propaganda and that Health Centers are missing basic measures against the epidemic such as masks.
“Along with the epidemic, we have an ‘info-demia’ … we have no cases in Albania. We need be be rational in all contacts. This is not a matter of bravery, but of security. The DP video is a irresponsibility, problems there are everywhere. The masks do not serve to all od the people, they serve to the affected not to spread the virus to others, ” stated Rama.
He then congratulated the residents for Teacher’s Day: “Happy March the 7th to all teachers! We will build schools alongside our homes. Special thanks to those who have worked since day one with the reconstruction. We have had foreign friends, architects, talented people, with a desire to help, because people need to enter their houses, but there is also preparatory work in building the houses”.
