Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted after calls from opposition leader Lulzim Basha that the country needs a caretaker government as a condition to guarantee free and honest elections. Writing on Facebook, Rama stressed the Government has a 4 year agreement with Albanians and has no obligations to act as e babysitter to Basha.

“He requires a caretaker government and has put it as a condition! Someone needs to tell him this kind of things can be done only inside “SHQUP” and counsel him to be careful even there, because not everyone is ready to blindly follow him, as the Justice Reform process showed. Our government has a 4 year agreement with the people of Albania and there is no clause there that the government has to act as a babysitter to Basha. He needs to grow up and learn to lead without one. He reminds me of a nice phrase of italian football coach Arrigo Sacchi: “There is no bad as a parent that the one who thinks his son is the next Totti”, Rama writes on Facebook.
