Rama: President, elected through political process

The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, declared that the Presidential
election process will determine the candidate status of our country and
that the election should be carried out through a political process.
Speaking at the Parliamentary Socialist Group, Rama declared that it is still early to speak about names of candidates, but on the same time it is late to determine the identikit of the next President.
“The new President must guarantee the Constitution and independence of justice institutions from the majority. The new president must be a security factor for the parties in the next Parliamentary elections”, Rama declared.
On his speech, Rama underlined that the electoral reform must be concluded within this month. He asked the removal of the immunity for high rank state officials and MPs.
