Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, held a speech in front of the Socialist
Party Academy applicants. He underlined the necessity of the Albanian
politics to receive a new spirit from the ideas and desires of the young
people.
He declared that through the young people, we must promote the new policy of equal rights and merits, which is completely possible.
“Because it is impossible to keep having an Albania where those who profits less, pay more, and those who profit more, pay less. But it is possible to have an Albania where the cultivation of the European civilization goes through a normal economic, social and cultural life for the new generation. Because this is not possible in an Albania with 1 million unemployed, sunk into crime and corruption, kneeled by the violence of ignorance and intimidated by the insecurity for the future”, Rama declared.
According to Rama, this can be achieved by opening the way to a really democratic government, which is based on the common people and their needs.
“It is impossible to keep having an Albania where no one can have a job, if he doesn’t have relations of blood, family or money with the ones who rule, while no one can work on his own, in a private business, without being shadowed by the monopoly walls that are getting taller each day, and without facing the roadblocks of this government’s clients, who occupy each day the territories of free initiative”, Rama declared, expressing his conviction that a change is possible.
“This image can change. Politics can change the image of things. You can change politics and make it able to change its image, together with the image of everything”, Rama declared in front of the young applicants.
