The first decision of the new government will be declaring 2018 “The Pan-National Year of Skanderbeg”.
Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, gave details on Facebook about the initiative.
A special commission will be established for promoting this year, since, besides the 550th anniversary of the death of Skanderbeg, there are three other important anniversaries for Albania.
“Certainly, these anniversaries have other moments and other important figures of our history to commemorate”, Rama said.
The Prime Minister asks everyone to give ideas about the calendar of activities regarding this event.
