Rama: “New approach to investors. Merkel: “Economic cooperation, partnership basis”

Rama underlined the importance of German investments in our country and made a special thanks to the Lindner family.

Rama underlined his will to change the approach of the Albanian government to donators who often have been disappointed in Albania.

“We are fighting the discouraging image that has been created for our country through years, through corruption in the judiciary, which is a cancer”, Prime Minister.

He added that the law for tourism will enter in effect after some weeks. Together with the energy platform, it will encourage foreign investments in Albania.

Chancellor Merkel declared that the economic relations between both countries are very important. She mentioned the examples of German investments, such as the Tirana Airport, cell phone companies and textile industry.

Merkel underlined that Albania has received the candidate status, an opportunity she says goes to a country that fulfills the basic criteria for the process.

“Such a country has no flux of asylum seekers who accuse their country but this situation will change. Germany needs qualified workers”, Merkel declared.

“We can support professional employment in Germany, such as with nurses, by equalizing the diplomas so that they can receive regular permits”, she added.

The Chief of the German Government underlined that the interests of Germany in Albania are also extended in infrastructure, energy, etc.
