Rama meets Chinese Prime Minsiter

Intensifying cooperation in infrastructure development, trade and
economy. This was the essence of the meeting between the Albanian Prime
Minister, Edi Rama, and his Chinese counterpart, Li Keqiang.

The Albanian Prime Minister underlined that the “projects that were discussed during the Bucharest meeting and the regional meetings that develop the infrastructure and economy, remain prioritary for the Balkan countries and an excellent opportunity to have support from China”,

The Prime Minister’s press office quotes the Chinese Prime Minister saying that “his government remains committed to support Albania and the region in the sectors of energy, infrastructure, education and economy”.

Prime Minister Li Keqiang expressed his satisfaction that many of the projects discussed in the previous meeting are going on the right track. He underlined how significant it is for Albanian and Chinese entrepreneurs to intensify the cooperation and mutual visits between the two countries”.

Top Channel has learned that the Chinese have expressed special interest on building a new port in Shengjin and taking in concession the Arber Road.

The Albanian Prime Minister was accompanied by Ministers Ahmetaj, Gjiknuri and Nikolla. The Chinese government was represented by the Foreign Minister, the Minister of Trade, the Mayor of Tianjin and the General Secretary of the State Council.
