On the second day of his visit to Macedonia, the Socialist leader, Edi
Rama, met the leaders of the main Albanian Parties in the neighboring
country, Ali Ahmeti from the BDI and Menduh Thaci from the PDSH.

Rama updated them with the Socialist Party’s plan to intensify communication with the Albanian factor in the region.

“The Socialist Party and the Albanian opposition in general, feel the necessity to have a more intensive communication with all Albanian factors in the region, in order to give bigger support to all open causes and to put forward all integration processes, and at the same time, to learn from each others’ experiences”, Rama declared.

Ahmeti and Thaci updated Rama about the political developments in Macedonia, during the meetings in the respective headquarters in Tetovo.

“We spoke about the political situation in Macedonia. I updated Mr. Rama with the processes in Macedonia, especially with the authentic interpretations, such as the Hague cases, as a very important moment that increases the trust between the biggest communities, the regulation of all issues for using the national symbols and for the advancement of the language”, Ahmeti declared.

“We talked about the possibility of making stronger advances of the Albanian policy, towards a major goal that we all have: Macedonia’s integration to NATO and the EU. I told Mr. Rama that we are trying to be constructive as a party, but the constructivism is fading each day in Macedonia, due to the arrogant politics of the Macedonian government”, Thaci declared.

After the meetings with the Albanian leaders, the Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, promoted his book “Kurban” at the Tetovo State University.

Yesterday, Rama was in Skopje, where he criticized the arrest of the Albanian young people who drew the map of ethnic Albania.
