The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that the Kukes Airport will start flights in 2019, with 300,000 passengers a year.
“I believe that we will see the first models of mountainous tourism in this area also for another reason. The Kukes airport will start next year, and this area will become a model for mountainous tourism. It will offer low prices and international standards”, Rama said.
“We have made a study with foreign experts which has encouraged us for the success. It is estimated that a total of 300,000 passengers a year will travel in an out of Albania through this airport”, the Prime Minister added.
