Edi Rama answered to the accusations made to him about the January 21st
event, since he now joined the Socialist Movement for Integration.
In this reaction Rama says that the worse part of the reaction is the media manipulation which used the strong emotions of January 21st.
“This is what made me to write these lines today. They are the real supporters, who travelled with me in these difficult years, who gave me energy, courage, strength and patience, and who feel bad by this unification because they are reminded of January 21st. I have understood their concern and I guarantee those supporters that January 21st will not move from our governing agenda.
Justice for January 21st will remain one of our major obligations. I reconfirm what I have said on the day when the murderers were released. The trial for January 21st murderers is not over, it hasn’t even started.
But for January 21st to not remain as it is today, an open wound, we need the June 23rd victory. June 23rd is the day when the opposition will morally revenge January 21st, by removing the family party of Prime Minister Berisha. Only after this will start the days when the government’s moral will be put into trial. The SP, the SMI and the others will create Albania’s revival, and only then will the truth of my promise be proved.
