The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, attended a meeting with Italian
industrialists to inaugurate “Confindustria Albania”, a trade
association with Italy. Rama valued the neighboring country as the
biggest strategic partnership.
“There are 2600 Italian enterprises registered in our country, and most importantly, we are expecting many others”, Rama said.
Rama said that the country has started a process of important reforms that are very necessary. He mentioned the energy market liberalization, a sector that, according to government data, has been stabilized after measures taken by the government.
“The economic level based on remittances is exhausted. We needed to turn toh a new economic model based on production. This is an important moment for our economy, because we are raising a model based on stable sources”, Rama declared.
The government leader mentioned the afct that the number of Italians visiting Albania since 2013 has increased with 40%.
