Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The opposition leader, Edi Rama, spoke in the Parliamentary Group
meeting about the integration processes and the opposition’s role in
voting the qualified majority laws. He also repeated the opposition’s
guarantees for realizing what they have been asked to about the 12 key
criteria.
After thanking the Socialist members of the Commission of Laws, Edi Rama spoke about the different approach of the government in approving the Penal Code laws and the unrealized hope for a possible voting against by the opposition.
“Unfortunately, the only ones who cannot accept to see this are our political adversaries, with the Prime Minister who keeps throwing mud on the opposition, in order to cover the complete failure of his government in the integration process. With his slanders Berisha goes as far as telling the Albanians that we blocked the voting of the Code while Brussels was discussing the candidate status. They dreamed about our vote against in the last session, as a proof for their anti-opposition propaganda”, Rama declared.
The opposition leader listed the qualified majority laws voted with the Socialist Party’s contribution, underlining that the opposition has made its duty and that the unrealized part is a task of the government. Rama also spoke about the Administrative Court, presenting the steps that the opposition plans to take.
“Since November, we have been preparing a considerable group of experts and the stance of the Socialist Party for the way how the Administrative Court can fulfill the international standards, and turning the Administrative Court into an institution that serves to the nation and the Albanian interests”, Rama declared.
Mr. Rama also declared that the integration matters are not part of the opposition’s political game, but a commitment for which the opposition’s contribution is visible.
