On his second day in Izrael, PM Rama attended meetings with President
Reuven Rivlin, and Parliament Speaker, Yuli-Yoel Edelstein.
The main topic of discussion were the joint challenges against violent extremism, further cooperation in tourism, energy and agriculture.
Israeli authorities valued the gesture of the Albanian people during the Holocaust, when citizens helped Jewish hide until it was over.
As for the meeting with the Mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, the Prime Minister focused on the religious co-existence in Albania and about sharing this experience with Israel.
“We live in a country where there are various religious communities that have a special relation with each other. It is very positive for us to hear and share this experience with you”, Rama said.
Barkat said that cooperation is very important in order to take our relations even further, learn from each other, contribute with positive experiences for partners throughout the world.
