Rama: Illegal constructions, like murders

Rama said that construction inspector should act immediately, as if they were notified about a murder.

“In cooperation with any Albanian who complaints against an illegal building, all structures should move quickly on terrain, same as it was a murder, an accident or a robbery, or when a fatal accident is reported”, Rama declared.

As for the accusations launched against him regarding the work done so far by the Court and the Prosecution, the Prime Minister declared that they have been hostage of corruption and could not arrest a single person over this crime.

“Today, more than ever, morally and legally, the responsibility goes to the Prosecution and the Court, who have done nothing so far for stopping this phenomenon, and who have used the property violators for their corruption. The police has reported at least 1000 cases for which they haven’t found the legal and moral courage to keep even one of them in prison. The theory of being trialed while being free, simply allows the culprit to return at the crime scene to continue his illegal act. I asked the General Prosecutor to engage the Prosecution’s structures, and I have found his complete attention”, Rama declared.

The Police Director expressed the readiness of his institution to protect every square meter of our country, because our coast and land belong to the Albanian people.

Artan Didi said that the territory of the Albanian republic has been destroyed, from riverbeds to forests, and the infrastructure has been damaged by illegal buildings.

Minister Tahiri spoke about the anti-cannabis operation that the police has undertaken in Dukagjin, supporting those who are on terrain to fight crime and drug traffic without compromise.

Minister Tahiri declared that he was not exaggerating if he said that today’s government had inherited an Albania that had cannabis planted in its entire territory, and only within the first year they were able to remove it from the black list of cannabis.

Then he returned to the main reason, for which this meeting was held: the illegal constructions. He underlined that from now on it will be a duty of the state police to work with determination against the crime against territory.
