The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, replied to the critics of some media
analysts for the socialist decision that supported lawyer Ardian Visha
as a High Council of Justice member.
“By supporting the candidacy of Ardian Visha, Fatmir Mediu’s lawyer, we did not change anything to our stance against Gerdeci’s state crime”, Rama says.
The opposition leader declares that he understands the critics, but insists that they are rushed and the Socialist Party is misunderstood.
But why did the Socialist Party support Ardian Visha, former lawyer of Fatmir Mediu in the Gerdeci tragedy trial?
According to Rama, this is explained by the fact that Visha, as a person, is not involved in corruption and has a high moral integrity. The second is that he is known as an expert that has never lacked of professionalism, and that the SP “supported a candidate that had no partial involvements, in order to attract votes beyond the parliamentary minority”, Rama writes.
The place left vacant at the High Council of Justice, after Kreshnik Spahiu’s resignation was filled by Elis Cefa, who was voted by 71 votes this Thursday, after an electronic voting that the opposition considers illegal.
