“I understand everyone who feels an ugly taste today, after getting used with the sweet taste of the revival”.
This is how the opposition leader, Edi Rama, starts an editorial published on his blog after a series of critics about the invitation sent to Ilir Meta to build a left coalition. Rama considers these reactions as “frenetic reactions” for which he was not unprepared.
“Because the revival dream is positively working in the imagination of everyone, it seems that many people have forgotten that the real revival, the one that is tangible through the implementation of the program, can be made true by the SP only by being in power, not by introducing it to campaigns”, Rama added.
“I am sure that no normal person who wants a change on June 23rd would never change Berisha’s removal with an unrealized dream like this”, Rama underlined.
According to the SP leader, the dream is in danger and it can go away if the elections are robbed once again, leaving a much worse disappointment than the one of June 2009 or May 2011 in Tirana.
Rama gives his arguments on why the elections of June are in danger, and why the only salvation is to surround the outgoing President through a coalition with the SMI.
“June 23rd is the day when Berisha will try throughout Albania the same that he did on May 2011. He has never been a majority, since 1992. He has been internationally branded as someone who steals the elections. He has prepared a plan to steal once again. He has the most politicized state in the continent; dirty money for massive corruption; the most regionally divided police; the secret service turned into a political police; he has imported manipulation group who walk with falsified ID cards; he has all the dark criminal world by his side, from where come out the electoral moles that scare people; and he has the poor people who are offered money that they have never seen, where poor families are surrendered for a sack of flour. It’s an entire plan to overthrow with stolen votes the moral and the spirit of the revival. Today this is being used as treason, because the real Albania of free elections does not resemble to the one that imagine those who comment in this dramatic history of the Albanian elections”, Rama wrote.
“Please, don’t forget that we have to defeat Berisha, and the unification with SMI is a right start, not the end of a battle that should be fought for every vote”.
