Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future During the meeting with the Democratic Party Youth Forum, the Prime
Minister Berisha asked not only their dedication to the country’s
development and for the next electoral campaign, but he also criticized
the opposition leader, Edi Rama.
The PM dedicated most of the speech to the country’s integration and added that the opposition was the main obstacle for failing to receive the status for the second consequent year. According to the Prime Minister, Brussels’ negative decision was right, since in the last 20 years, the only guarantee that Edi Rama has given to the Albanians was that of using the vote against every Albanian’s interest.
“We’re approaching 2013. Only the Albanians will resolve this. Our friends have made extraordinary efforts for helping, but without result. He didn’t listen, he sees only his interest. Don’t forget that Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and the other countries made it. Their opposition didn’t think of blocking the country’s laws and reforms for the EU integration, as our opposition leader. We must prepare for the elections of 2013, so that the Albanians will resolve this situation will their free vote”, Berisha added.
The meeting with the Democratic Youth Forum was not only a meeting with political messages. This Saturday, Prime Minister Berisha celebrated his 67th birthday. The hidden message of this meeting with the DP Youth Forum, for the historical leader of the Democratic Party, might be that what really matters is not the age, but the energy that is transmitted, especially when there are important political battles ahead, such as the election of the President and the Parliamentary Elections of 2013.
“I am happy to celebrate my Birthday with you and I can say that it is the most beautiful birthday that I am celebrating with the youth. For me, the years are just numbers”, Berisha declared.
