The Party of European Socialists organized the conference of left-wing parties of Balkan. Kosovo was represented by Albin Kurti from the Self-Determination Movement and Fatmir Limaj from the Social Democratic Initiative.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, used this occasion to ask Brussels to keep their word and remove the visa regime for Kosovo citizens.
“For us, Albanians, it is important that the EU keeps its word and liberalizes the visa-free movement for all citizens of Kosovo. I am certain that the President of the PES shares the same opinion.
Albin Kurti, on the other hand, asked Rama to lift the Nation’s Road toll fee.
“The fee is very expensive. Kosovo citizens are not rich. Maintenance through the state’s taxes is a better option”, Kurti declared.
