Rama: “Cooperate, we have another hard day ahead of us”

The Prefect of Berat, Selfo Kapllani, declared from the Ura Vajgurore
that they have evacuated the families that have been endangered by the
Osum and Devoll Rivers. He said that the pumps are working at full
capacity and the power supply has not been interrupted.

Prime Minister Rama declared that he was happy that all structures had responded to the situation.

“We are proud for how all of our structures responded to these challenges. Today is the day to repeat these measures, because the weather is expected to be even harsher. I appeal to everyone to cooperate with the civilian emergency structures, with the State Police and everyone involved in this process, so that we will have no hesitation in case we will need to evacuate people. After this situation, an important investment will be realized at the Ura Vajgurore. The fund will be equal to what has been given in the past 20 years”, Rama declared.

The Civilian Emergency Director, Shemsi Prenci, declared that the situation in Berat has been under control, despite the huge flows of the Devoll and Osum rivers.
