Rama: Consensus for three Pact points

15/11/2011 00:00

The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, considers as very positive the consensus
reached for three of the 10 points of the Pact that was proposed by the
Socialist Party.

The Socialist leader underlined that the electoral reform must be approved by the end of March, with a transparent and open process; that they must realize the Parliamentary Reform within 4 months, for turning the Parliament into an institution of European Standards; and also the state consolidation reform through laws that require qualified majority, for which the Socialist Party will give all its complete contribution.

In today’s Socialist Parliament Meeting, Rama proposed the establishment of an ad-hoc committee for reviewing and selecting the candidacies for the Ombudsman.

“The commission will publicly invite everyone that feels able to perform this very important duty. The committee must prepare a report and concrete proposition at the Parliamentary Group for the candidacy of the Ombudsman”, Rama declared.
