Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The new Socialist Party leadership that was voted at the National
Assembly held the first meeting, where they decided for the political
delegations of the National Assembly members and leadership members in
the districts.
After the end of the meeting that took three hours, the opposition leader, Edi Rama, expressed his satisfaction for this meeting, without giving any detail about what had been discussed.
“This was an advisory meeting of the new leadership, from which I am very satisfied. It was a meeting that strengthened the conviction for the choices that were made by the national assembly, so that all new members could be available for the next elections”, Rama declared.
Rama reacted to the declaration of Prime Minister Berisha in the second meeting with the Kosovo students, where he declared that the opposition leader has opposed the Nation’s Road, and that together with other segments has tried to put obstacles to its construction.
“I have been informed that Berisha expressed today his position for the road. I challenge him to prove with any kind of document that I or other Socialist representatives have been against the construction of the Nation’s Road, while we repeat that with the Nation’s Road, they have stolen the money of the Albanian tax payers”, Rama declared.
Rama spoke about the concerns raised by the small parties for the electoral reform.
“I want to repeat the complete goal of the Socialist Party for hearing and finding an agreement with all small parties for the electoral reform”, Rama added.
