The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, promised that the party he represents will return security to the Albanian citizens within the first 300 days. He also criticized the Prime Minister’s nationalism, which he said is related only to electoral purposes.

Rama said that now when he has nothing to offer to the Albanians, Berisha is threatening Albania’s image as a stabilizing factor in the region. As for the security, Rama declared that the police forces are facing threats each day, while crime is becoming a more successful organization each year.

“After leading Albania to economic and democratic ruin, the leader of the government that has reached the highest corruption peak in our history is risking to change the traditional constructive role of Albania in the region. By opening the dusty book of old Balkan rhetoric, with counterproductive provocations, the Prime Minister is threatening the excellent relation with Albania’s strategic partner, the USA”, Rama declared, adding that Kosovo should had received its independence from the Serbian electricity.

The unification of Albanians cannot be done with instruments of the past that damage the future, but with the common and widely accepted vision to integrate them in the region and Europe.

The leader of the biggest opposition party declared that for a future approach between the Albanians, the Socialists have made a clear program of cooperation with the government of Kosovo after June 23rd in economy, production and education, using irony against what he considered the only initiative taken in these eight years by the Berisha government.

“Our children today have the same path, from the ABC to university, but everything has remained as in the communist era”, Rama declared.

From this assembly, Rama appealed his political opponent.

“Don’t mix the interests of our nation with your personal interest, and your personal post with an electoral process. It is not enough saying that you are the change to convince people that things have changed for good under your government. The debts you have left on their shoulders are enough, and you shouldn’t add a new one in the form of an absurd Balcan complication”, Rama declared.

Klosi: Central Election Commission, completely politicized

The SP Organization Secretary, Blendi klosi, declared that they discussed the pre-electoral situation, the concerns about preparation and electoral infrastructure.

In this meeting they also discussed about the CEC, which according to Klosi has turned into a completely politicized institution.

“No decision was taken today regarding this matter, but the Socialist leadership will follow its progress intensively and responsibly”, Klosi declared.

Another decision was the inclusion of the Mayors of Korce and Elbasan, respectively Niko Peleshi and Qazim Sejdini, in the SP leadership.
