Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The opposition leader commented on the new stances of Prime Minister
Sali Berisha. Rama said that Berisha cannot hold nationalistic
positions, when he mentions Preveza as Albanian land, and on the other
hand he signed to give away the maritime territory to Greece. Rama
considered Berisha’s declarations as divisive.
“Mentioning that Albanis goes to Preveza, means that you are irresponsible for the fate of your nation, because that would damage our national cause and the perspective of our national unification in United Europe, not in other shapes of imagination, but only to the imagination of the European perspective for Albania, Kosovo, the Albanians of Macedonia and wherever they live in the region. He mentions Preveza and provokes irresponsibly the neighbours with one hand, and gives away the maritime territory with the other, a territory for which many Albanians have lost their lives in the past, and their graves are not known yet 100 years after.
Rama: Government leaves country plunged in debts
The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, accused the government of leaving the country plunged in debts and the Albanian families poorer than before, due to wrong policies and the alarming debt increase.
Rama underlined that the draft-budget 2013 planned by the government shows that the Albanian Rebirth Program and a new fiscal policy are indispensable necessities.
“Budget 2013 is the best indicator why 2013 must be the year of change”, Rama declared.
Earlier during the meeting, Artan Lame brought facts that according to the SP show that the government failed with the 100th anniversary celebrations. Lame declared that the government made everything possible for the Albanians to experience this celebration divided among each other, but he didn’t achieve his goal.
Lame analyzed in details what he considered a protocol violation due to ignorance or even intentional.
Lame referred to the deformation of the national symbol and the chaos in the organization of the reception for foreign representatives held by the Albanian President, which was initiated by a foreigner and not the Albanian President, as the Protocol and tradition demands.
