Rama: Albania has no economic strategy

The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, focused today’s development meeting strategy on the situation of the Albanian economy.

“The economic growth for this year is predicted to be 0.8%. Different to most economies of the world, who admitted to have a crisis and took measures about it, Albania is entering in the scenario that we had predicted”, Rama declared.

He added that seeing the weakness of the Albanian economy, which is not integrated among the citizens, the country is facing a very weak position.

“The Albanian economy is blocked, because the model that was chosen for its development lacks of vision. It is a model that exploits our national assets in a barbarous way”, Rama emphasized.

According to him, it will be very difficult to recover the economy, because Albania has no national plan for it.

“There is no response for any strategic tourism investment. The property issues must be clearly resolved. The local units have no cooperation between each other”, Rama declared.

SP gathered a meeting for the tax policies this Monday, in which Rama declared that the wrong policy of this government brought no economic growth.

Another point mentioned by the opposition leader during this meeting was the proposition for the progressive tax, for which he appealed the government to approve as soon as possible.
