The opposition leader, Edi Rama, explained the Socialist vision for an
agricultural rebirth while meeting with the farmers and agriculture
experts in Lushnje.
“We were engaged to analyze the financial situation and we will start the rebirth of or farms within the first mandate by regulating the entire territory of agricultural land”, Rama declared.
Besides these concrete promises, the opposition leader declared that the agriculture chapter in the opposition program has been discussed and analyzed with experts of this sector, who had an especially unanimous opinion on one point.
“They agree on the necessity of removing the oil excise, the VAT on oil and the circulation tax for oil when it goes to the farmer, so that the production costs can be lower. On the other hand, we must reduce the VAT on seeds with 10%”, Rama specified.
Rama reiterated the necessity of the Socialist Party for planning the agricultural map. The agricultural map, as specified in the opposition’s program, will help farmers not only to create a better inventory for their crops, but also to fight competition and keep the domestic product in a good shape compared to the regional and European rivals.
Rama said that this is a good planned map that combines the best of the scientific analyzes and the experience. He blamed the government of following the chaotic policy of agricultural development.
“It will be the result of a given politics, and which is not based on the dreams that the Prime Minister sees by night and which he tells by day to the government meeting, but they will be based on this scientific analysis”, Rama declared.
Rama added that this clear vision of the new governing system differs from the other party because their policy is “Each for his own, God for everyone”, while the Socialist Program, he claims, is based “Each for his own, the state guarantees everyone”.
