The Embassies of France, Germany, Italy, UK and USA have expressed their concern about the constant efforts in Kosovo to invalidate the work of the Specialist Chambers of the Special Court.
The five countries underline in a declaration sent to the media that the Specialist Chambers is an important part of Kosovo’s dedication to the rule of law, to address the crimes committed in their territory.
“There is no reason to obstacle the work of the Specialist Chambers. We invite every institution leader to give up efforts to renegotiate or invalidate parts of the law for the Specialized Chambers.
“Any effort would put in question Kosovo’s dedication to having a rule of law, and endangers every achievement of the country. We condemn this action and whoever supports it, will intentionally act against Kosovo’s partnership with our countries”, the communication states.
