Public transport companies stated today that they will not resume operations on Monday due to financial difficulties and in absence of an agreement with the government.
“The service will not be provided if the requirements are not met. We have sent the protocol for review”, stated one representative.
Previously it was proposed by state institutions that public transport operators offer travel free of charge, as long as there is no place for ticket busman.
While public transport has not resumed for locals, tourists have taken some service. But operators warn that this will not happen again at a time when transporters are sanctioned for bringing tourists.
The public transport union is urging the government to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible to resolve the situation as soon as possible, otherwise protests will continue.
