As expected, the former Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, was absent at the judicial trial at the second instance of the Vetting Law.
The Public Commissioner insisted that the resignation of the former Prosecutor General has not been done properly, that’s why he can still be vetted.
His lawyer opposed this stance and said that Llalla quit the judicial system on his own will, after his mandate as Prosecutor General had expired. He filed his resignation according to the law.
The former Prosecutor General tried to avoid undergoing the vetting law by quitting the system after his term expired, but the Commissioner is trying to repeal the verdict of the Court of First Instance and carry on with the vetting. With this stance, the Commissioner is trying to take even Judge Mirela Fana and Prosecutor Sulejman Tola under the Vetting Law.
