Psychiatric Hospital: “We report dangerous patients to police”

Adela Muca, psychologist at the Elbasan Psychiatric Hospital, says that
when mental patients turn to a threat for the community, hospitals
report them to justice and police authorities.

“The situation is kept under control with surveillance from the staff, with the appropriate medical treatment. We notify police about the conditions, and we let go patients that have not been hospitalized for serious circumstances”, Muca says.

Summer heat aggravates conditions of mental patients. However, Elbasan Psychiatric Hospital doctors say no situation is more special than one other.
