The Socialist Party has rejected the declarations launched by the ruling
party, which accused them of blocking the November 14th agreement.
The opposition says that in fact, the majority is the one that is not standing to the agreements for the electoral reform, the parliamentary regulation and the qualified majority laws.
Taulant Balla, secretary of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, reacted after the Parliament Speaker announced the press release.
“In the Conference of Leaders, our Group Leader did not reject the work for the draft-laws that require qualified majority. All these projects are part of the daily work of the Socialist representatives at the Commission of Laws, who are preparing our position in the Commission for each project presented by the government.”
Balla says that their work is based in deadlines that are previously set, that are related with the necessity to approve the draft-laws within the deadline.
“This is what the Socialist Parliamentary Group Leader declared in the Conference of Leaders, by asking the necessary time for starting the work in the commission. The rush of the other party, and the unilateral decision-making at the Conference of Leaders does not justify the common goal for ending this process by March, and neither the necessity for having a serious, qualitative and transparent process”, underlines the declaration of the Secretary of the Socialist Parliamentary Group.
The declaration concludes with the reconfirmation of the Socialist Party’s political and civil will to fulfill its obligation for the country’s EU integration.
