Prrenjas, SMI join votes with the DP, SP candidacy blocked

Voice for a conflict within the government coalition are being reflected
on the basis too. This meeting of the Municipal Council of Prrenjas had
several debates and a unification of votes between the Socialist
Movement for Integration and the DP against the candidate proposed by
the Socialist Party.

Mayor Miranda Rira said that the Socialist Party did not respect the agreement between the coalition.

Rira explained that after this agreement, the municipalities led by the SMI and SP will have their Mayor, while the Secretary of the Municipal Council will be from the SMI.

It seems that the chairwoman of the Prrenjas Municipal Council, which belongs to the SP, proposed a new candidate from this political force, which made the SMI to join votes with the DP and reject it.

12 out of 20 councilors voted against Albina Rira.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, said that this is a lack of coordination. Balla said that the coalition is functional in Prrenjas.

The Secretary of the Prrenjas Municipal Council will be voted in the next meeting.
