Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Metropolit of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro, Amfollihije
Radovicka released provocative declarations during a visit in Albania.
He visited the Vraka area, in Malesi e Madhe, and the Bardhaj village, to honour the Serbian soldiers that died during 1912-1914, the Balkan Wars and the Montenegrin occupation of Shkoder.
“We are pilgrims and we came to visit the holy places dating from the times of Christ’s apostles. We have come to visit the cemeteries of the Serbian soldiers who died during the Balkan War, who fought against the ottoman occupiers. These soldiers, together with others, have sacrificed themselves for the liberation of Albania. More than 10.000 Serbian soldiers have died in Bardhaj. They have been killed in a time when Albania declared independence, in that historic moment of the country’s freedom”, Amfilohije Radovicka declared.
The Metropolit of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro has opposed the Albanians and the independence of Kosovo.
He publicly cursed the Montenegrin government for recognizing Kosovo, and became an inspiration for Serbian extremists who attacked Montenegrin institutions. The Serbian priest has turned the pilgrimage the visit in Albania, at the Serbian soldiers’ cemetery.
