Protests against the murder by police of 25-year-old Klodian Rasha in Tirana continued today in Tirana and some major cities of Albania, such as Berat and Lezha, while PM Edi Rama in a statement in early evening, apologized and announced that the Minister of Interior Sander Lleshaj has resigned.
Meanwhile in Tirana, protesters clashed again with police, striking the pofficers with projectiles and hard materials.
Following the announcement of the resignation of the Minister of Interior, the protest in Tirana calmed down and the police dispersed the demonstators.
Demonstrations in other cities were relatively peaceful.
The Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj gave a comment on social networks where, among other things, he admitted that Klodian was unjustly killed.
