Protest interrupts road construction in Shkoder

The residents of the Dobrac neighborhood, in the Rrethina Commune,
Shkoder District, held a protest today against the construction works
for the Shkoder bypass, since they are not in the compensation list.

The Construction Police inspectorate at the Rrethina commune has not allowed the company to work, since it doesn’t have any legal-technical document for interfering in the properties of the residents of this area. The conflict between the residents and the constructors started two days ago.

While the works have been interrupted, the police is trying to negotiate with the residents and the commune leaders for allowing the company to continue the works.
