Deputies of the opposition Democratic Party headed towards the Parliament today with the same scenario as last time to prevent a normal session, although without the whistles.
The security took care to control the democratic legislators by blocking the passage of the Parliament for the 8 deputies expelled aerlier.
Today as well the plan of the opposition was the same: Blocking the pulpit, sounding devices, as the battle over the McGonigal scandal seems to have brought the two Democratic factions together, before a court decision as to which belongs the formal seal of the party.
Democrats were more restrained today for fear of a mass exclusion that could keep them away from the session of March 2, for the confrontation with the Prime Minister.
The Democrats insisted on changing the agenda, demanding that the PM’s McGonigal scandal be the headline, but the Socialists used the force of the numbers to refuse.
“Regarding the debate motion, date 2 has been set. I find it ridiculous that you do not accept date but protest today, knowing very well that the prime minister is on an official visit to Japan.
It is important not to bring internal problems here”, said socialist Taulant Balla.
Balla’s words also reached the ears of Sali Berisha, wile trying to keep up the spirit of the protest outside the hall.
In threatening tones, the chief democrat warned of the March 3 scenario if he loses the seal trial verdict.
“Today Taulant Balla announced the decision that the court will give on the 3rd, I swear in front of these men, that you and Edi Rama will become personally responsible for any hostile act against the DP and the Albanian opposition.
In three minutes, if we decide, we are in the hall, nothing prevents us! In any case, the march towards Surrel will be our march”, said the chairman Sali Berisha, referring to the residential address of PM Rama.
