Protest for drinking water

“The old water line has been cut due to the new project. The Aqueduct
has promised to replace the new lines by April 27th. Today is March
27th. Until April you will be supplied with clean bottled water”,
declared the Tirana Mayor to the revolted 32 families who have been
living without drinking water at the Koder e Priftit area for the last
three weeks.

While inspecting the works of the new water line, Mayor Basha met the revolt of the residents, whom he calmed down with the promise to resolve the situation for one month.

We will supply with drinking water the 35.000 residents of this neighborhood, thanks to a 50 million ALL project.

“This investment will bring water in this dry area in every season of the year. After the new installation will be over, we will start with the urban rehabilitation of the area, which consists of paving the new roads and building the sidewalks, planting trees, installing road lights… a complete urban rehabilitation of the Koder e Priftit area.

After finishing with the installation of 15 km of water pipes, Basha declared that they will intervene for the rehabilitation of the collector at the Dalip Topi road.
