Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Landowners from the Bradashesh Commune, where the new
Tirana-Elbasan highway is being constructed, protested against the expropriation prices set by the government.
The government has assessed their land with 430 ALL per square meter, while they say that it should be 2600.
A group of the landowners held a meeting with the head of the commune, which followed with very harsh debates and without a solution.
Sallaku declared that the prices have been assessed according the land classification.
The residents pretend that their land belongs to the first classification, and not to the third or fourth, as assessed by the government.
If the government will not reassess the expropriation price, the land owners threaten to block the road construction.
