The Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla, reacted to the declaration of
the Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj, who defended his predecessor
Saimir Tahiri and said that the Prosecution is being used politically.
“The former chairman of the Judiciary Reform and Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj, may not be clear about the law amends that have taken place, and this is his problem. The prosecution is watching very closely all the criminal cases in our country. The situation is tense and crime is on the rise, especially in Vlora, Lushnje and Elbasan. Our duty is to investigate these cases and bring those responsible to justice”, Llalla declared.
President Ilir Meta avoided comments.
